Hey, it’s Amanda Dagley!
I was born on Easter Sunday, 1977, when “Dancing Queen” by ABBA was the number 1 song on the charts. Raised on radio and MTV, I looked up to Dr. Dimento, Dr. Johnny Fever, Wolfman Jack, Riki Rachtman, and Lewis Largent.
I've been passionate about music for the majority of my life and that passion led me to pursue a nearly 30 year career as a local radio DJ. Over time though, I became increasingly disillusioned by terrestrial radio. The more commercial radio became, the more I felt alienated. There was so much I couldn't create, simply because the medium of radio doesn’t permit it in its current state.
So I created Electric Zee. An outer space place. Extra terrestrial radio. Lo-Fi sci-fi DIY pirate radio talk shows for the post apocalyptic void.
Join me in conversation and become a part of this growing galactic community. Together we will share and preserve stories of music, nostalgia, culture, life, and more.
